To everybody

Maine , anul se innoieste... we will ring in the New Year with Corina and Kevin ! Corina is cooking some fancy stuff including lobster and a pork tenderloin roulade. Coni and I will bring the wine and the champagne and also some "pifite de curcan" . I'm sure we'll have fun : eat , drink , play Wii and watch on TV the ball drop in Times Square (the tradition started in 1907!) ...5...4...3...2...1...Happy 2009!!! La Multi Ani 2009!!!

Christmas Eve

The night before Christmas...Everything is ready -the tree is trimmed ,the presents are wrapped and we all are eager for tomorrow to see what Santa brought us. Santa Corina said that has a surprise for me , Coni though....
Bucatele sunt gata -am facut si sarmale si cozonaci si carnati - bradul este impodobit , iar cadourile asteapta sa fie desfacute . Din pacate nici unul nu este pentru mine ! Eu am fost foarte cuminte tot anul , dar Mos Coni e cam gros de obraz ....

Christmas is coming...

I can't believe that Christmas is next week ! I've finished shopping , of course on line . Here in NYC the stores are very crowded and on top of that the weather is ugly - cold and windy - not to inviting to go outside. The only nice thing , today it snowed for the first time this year, a little though , and now the streets are a slushy mess ! Not a chance to have a white Christmas !

Ah , Roma ! The city founded by the twins , Romulus and Remus on 7 hills . I just found the picture with us on Spanish Stairs (Piazza di Spagna) and nice memories came back . How long ago was it?
